Each year, we have the opportunity to attend and present at several conferences nationwide, showcasing our work and our Ed-Fi-enabled product stack. These events provide opportunities to engage with educators, administrators, district leaders, and fellow Ed Tech organizations, fostering collaboration and sharing insights.

In 2025, we participated in more than 20 conferences. Below is an overview of some of the key conferences where we attended and presented.

SXSW EDU

CEO Andrew Rice presented the session, “New Philanthropy Playbook: Funding Innovation in Education,” to a packed audience at SXSW EDU 2025 with Joshua Elder (Siegel Family Endowment), Margaret Honey (Scratch Foundation), and Vicki Zubovic (Khan Academy). The panelists had a candid conversation about the opportunities and challenges of the new education philanthropy landscape.

Chief Operating Officer Libby Pier also served as a mentor at SXSW EDU 2025. During the conference, Libby had the opportunity to participate in engaging hands-on workshops, build community with other people within the education technology field, and facilitate a mentoring session about the intersection of Ed Tech and education research. Libby reflected on the five phrases that defined her SXSW EDU experience in this blog

AeriesCon

At AeriesCon 2025, Director of Software Solutions Ben Dederich, Chief Solutions Officer Noah Bookman, VP of Interoperability Solutions Rosh Dhanawade, and Senior Sales Strategist Nick Kalakailo presented a session highlighting our Ed-Fi powered offerings in California with Aeries SIS community of school systems.

CoSN

CEO Andrew Rice presented the session, “Leveraging Data Standards to Maximize Potential,” with Debbie Durrence (Gwinnett County Public Schools), Tim Clark (1EdTech Consortium), Nathan Miller (Gwinnett County Public Schools), and Sean Casey (Ed-Fi Alliance) at CoSN 2025. In the session, panelists discussed how district and state leaders have harnessed the power of 1EdTech interoperability standards and the Ed-Fi data standards to accelerate the development of a modern data ecosystem.

EA Board President Richard Bowman and Executive VP of Strategic Initiatives Sean McLaughlin also attended the conference and supported our session.

Ed-Fi Alliance Technical Congress

Every year the Ed-Fi Alliance hosts its Technical Congress to bring together members from across the EdTech community, including data scientists, chief architects, IT application developers, software engineers, educational technology developers, and more. The goal of the Ed-Fi Alliance’s Tech Congress is to host a discussion-based forum with the community to help the Ed-Fi Data Standard and technology suite grow more usable, practical, and sophisticated to reach our shared goal of making a positive impact to assist student and classroom outcomes.

Staff from across Education Analytics (EA) attended the two-day event and connected with school districts, EdTech leaders, and current and potential partner organizations. Read reflections from our staff about this year’s Ed-Fi Tech Congress here.

South Carolina Association of School Administrators (SCASA)

Director of Software Solutions Ben Dederich and Services Delivery Manager Aldo Belmont attended and hosted a booth at SCASA Innovative Ideas Institute. The conference served as a great opportunity to meet new folks in the education and technology space in South Carolina, as well as serving as a chance to connect with staff at our partner organization, the South Carolina Department of Education.

EA Staff Conference

Twice a year, Education Analytics’ (EA) staff from across the country come to our office in Madison, Wisconsin, for collaborative meetings, team retreats, and skill-building.

For Summer Week 2025, we hosted our first-ever EA Conference. EA staff from every team submitted proposals with ideas, product innovations, operational success stories, or knowledge they wished to socialize with the rest of the organization. The conference featured more than 20 sessions, with formats ranging from individual talks and panel discussions to demos and workshops. University of Wisconsin-Madison Sears Bascom Professor of Learning Analytics and Learning Sciences, David Shaffer, delivered an inspiring keynote speech about how to build presentations that captivate and interest audiences.

Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) Data Conference

VP of Interoperability Solutions Rosh Dhanawade and Ed-Tech Collaboratory (ETC) Advisory Board Member and Chief Information Officer at the Tennessee Department of Education Vijay Gollapudi presented the plenary session, “State Reporting Modernization Landscape,” at the 2025 GaDOE Data Conference.

During the conversation, Rosh and Vijay offered reflections and encouragement for widescale transitions in technology within the education space.

Ed-Fi Alliance Summit

Every fall, the Ed-Fi Alliance hosts its annual Ed-Fi Summit conference to bring together state and local education leaders, EdTech providers, educators, and technical experts who are turning data into real solutions for students. During the conference, Ed-Fi Summit attendees learn fresh ideas from the field, join interactive sessions, and connect with folks who are tackling education’s toughest challenges.

Several EA staff attended Ed-Fi Summit 2025 and left the conference energized by the dedication, expertise, and passion of people within the Ed-Fi community that they learned from, presented to, and chatted with at Ed-Fi Summit. Read their key reflections after attending, presenting, and collaborating at Ed-Fi Summit 2025 here

We are excited to build on these experiences and look forward to the connections we’ll make and the insights we’ll gain during the 2026 conference season!
