 Each year, we have the opportunity to attend and present at several conferences nationwide, showcasing our work and our Ed-Fi-enabled product stack. These events provide opportunities to engage with educators, administrators, district leaders, and fellow Ed Tech organizations, fostering collaboration and sharing insights. In 2024, we participated in the 20+ conferences, including SXSW EDU, AeriesCon, Ed-Fi Alliance’s Technical Congress, the Knowledge Alliance’s Fall Forum, Ed-Fi Summit, South Carolina Ed Tech, and the Florida Educational Research Association’s annual meeting. In this blog, we recap our key takeaways and lessons learned from the conferences we attended this year.

The conversation about AI in education has been dominated by the power and potential of AI to further galvanize ed tech usage and impact in classrooms. It’s time for that conversation to expand to focus on the opportunity—and the need—for staff at Local Education Agencies (LEAs) and State Education Agencies (SEAs) to embrace AI literacy. In this blog, we highlight three focus areas with action steps that agencies can take to build up their AI literacy to ensure they are well positioned to navigate and embrace AI usage within their agency.

We had the opportunity to sit down and talk with EA Board President Dr. Richard Bowman about the challenges impacting education and data spaces, what excites him the most about being affiliated with EA, and how he thinks the field is going to change in the future.

At Education Analytics (EA), we enjoy collaborating with our staff and partner organizations to write blogs that discuss the current challenges and successes in education and data spaces and work at EA.
