Education Analytics Achieves ISO/IEC 27001 Certification, Completes SOC 2 Audit
[MADISON, January 14, 2025] – Education Analytics (EA), a leading education non-profit dedicated to innovative research and technology solutions, announced it achieved ISO/IEC 27001 certification for the first time and successfully completed its Type 2 SOC 2 audit.
As part of its ongoing commitment to data security, EA worked with A-LIGN, the leading provider in cybersecurity compliance trusted by more than 4,000 global organizations to help mitigate cybersecurity risks, as the ISO/IEC 27001 and SOC 2 auditor. The audit examined EA’s systems and controls to ensure they met security, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. The assessment tested EA’s firewalls, intrusion detection systems, multi-factor authentication, disaster recovery plans, and encryption methods.
ISO/IEC 27001 is an internationally recognized information security management system standard published by the International Organization for Standardization and the International Electrotechnical Commission. It is a rigorous auditing review, and the certification affirms that EA has implemented a comprehensive, risk-based approach to managing and protecting sensitive data across its systems, people, and processes.
Established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the SOC 2 certification is designed for organizations of any size, regardless of industry and scope, to ensure the personal assets of their potential and existing customers are protected. SOC 2 reports are recognized worldwide and affirm that a company’s infrastructure, software, people, data, policies, procedures, and operations have been formally reviewed.

Having this certification—in addition to the ISO/IEC 27001 and SOC 2 certification—further illustrates EA’s adherence to security standards.
