David J. Steele, EA Board Vice President

Dr. Steele earned a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Florida, Master of Education at Harvard University, and Ph.D. at the University of South Florida. During his thirty-five year career he served the district as a high school math teacher, assistant principal, International Baccalaureate coordinator, high school principal, and General Director for Secondary Education. As Project Director for the Empowering Effective Teachers program, Dr. Steele was integrally involved in the design and implementation of Hillsborough’s teacher and leader evaluation and professional development systems.
